I am a huge fan of Urban Decay’s Naked Palette, but because of its hefty $50 price tag, I can’t exactly afford to buy all three (plus the new Naked Smokey palette!). I am satisfied with Naked 1 but still had palette envy of Naked 3 with its beautiful shimmery pink shades.
Luckily, Maybelline has released a very similar collection of colors in The Blushed Nudes. While not all the colors are identical, it is clearly meant to resemble the Naked 3 palette.
They’re practically even arranged in the same order. Take a look at the Naked 3 Palette above in comparison to The Blushed Nudes palette below. Twinsies?
I haven’t used the Naked 3 palette so I can’t speak to the similarities between the colors, but here is a post comparing the two if you’re interested. What I can say is that the colors are quiet beautiful and great for the spring/summer. They shadows take time to apply because they don’t go on silky smooth and require some effort to apply. The colors may be similar to Naked 3 but the texture is definitively drugstore. But for $9.99 and the number of shades you get, totally worth it.
I like palettes because I can travel with them and create a lot of looks from the 12 shades. They even have suggestions of how to wear them on the back. For 1/5 the price of Naked 3, I’d say go for it. The color payoff isn’t wonderful but if you’re willing to work with it, you’ll get more than your money’s worth.
Ciao for now,
